Explain the “Results” element

Not only does gbXML describe building geometry, zoning, envelope components and HVAC systems for buildings, but it also allows a building analysis software tool to store its calculated results in the same gbXML file that was originally imported.

The “Results” element in gbXML allows you to store all of the calculated results from any building analysis software tool such as peak cooling and heating load calculation values or 8760 energy analysis results. It includes a number of attributes and child elements that make the Results element quite flexible in terms of the type of information that can be stored.
